  3. Why put up the old video of prboom?

  4. I don't understand... Doom on GBA is stretched out, running like crap & the 'graphics' are much worse and it's being compared to an outdated video of prboom? Hardly seems like a good comparison to me.

  5. You are comparing a crappy version of doom running on GBA emu (which is propably the reason for slowness) and compare it to a port of doom running natively on linux. I don't get it? We should first get a port of doom running on dingoo not on dingoo gba emu...

  6. I agree it's kind of an unfair comparison... in the first case doom is running on a GBA, which in turn is being emulated.

  7. Guys, the point here is not that Doom runs better or worse through the Dingoo GBA emulator than via Linux; the point is that until now, if you wanted to play Doom on the Dingoo, it was the GBA version or nothing. Linux offers new possibilities. It's as simple as that. Ddon't try to read more than that into it!

  8. Ahh, ok, thanks for clearing that up, I too thought you were implying the opposite. I'm just happy to see doom on the little guy (& here's hoping for a quake port as well =P)

  9. Quake wouldn't work on the Dingoo for obvious reasons.

  10. What reasons are those? The original quake doesnt need any acceleration and would be quite possible

  11. why wouldnt quake work? hardware wise the dingoo is more than capable.
