Firmware 1.20 seen in the wild, fixes Y/B problem

Firmware 1.20 has been spotted in the Dingoonity forums.

According to two posters, lak and onion, it fixes the Y/B problem. It also comes with 9 languages.

The 1.20 firmware cannot be downloaded from the official Dingoo site yet, but hopefully it will soon.

  1. Awesome news! Now I can finally play Total Carnage!

Hopefully the homebrew apps/emulators for the native firmware play nice with it (i.e. no freezing on exiting)

  2. so this will be an official release from Dingoo and not some CFW right? I love the CFW but hate that the FM radio is always a mess after the CFW install.

  3. Ok guys the forums have been abuzz about this new firmware seen in the wild the elusive 1.20 Official Dingoo Digital A320 Firmware well I caught him I did I did.

Thanks to my connections at Dingoo Digital China as a reseller they provided me a copy before it is posted on the Dingoo Digital China website. Don't ask me when it will be posted on their site I have no clue the actual Dingoo Digital China website is hacked all the time so who knows when it will get posted there.

So enjoy the new firmware from the rumor mill it seems to fix the y & x button bug and the codec issue with video stalling while playing and last but not least more languages. I don't know I haven't tested it yet as I'm typing this and posting it to everyone else can have it....

The Y/B issue was a a small flaw with loud complaints.
It was a thorn in the side of the Dingoo, and it has now been removed.

    Play on, brothers and sisters.

  20. I installed the 1.2 firmware over the existing 1.11. It went fine (other than stumbling through the menus to change it from Mandarin back to English) but I haven't seen any improvements. Some folks have said it improves video playback but I haven't seen that.
