Booboo delivers again!

Booboo sent this picture to me (it’s the same picture which appeared on the A320 forums earlier today) with this note:

Booboo:

I've done in about 24h what I expected me to take much longer:
disassembled de file with the LCD initialization code (found in the
unbricking tool), figured out the LCD configuration and interface, and
patched the Ingenic kernel to make the framebuffer work.
I attach a picture which is most likely the first one of a linux
kernel booting in the dingoo A320.
There's still quite a lot of work to be done in order to have an
usable kernel/rootfs on the Dingoo, but the hardest part, the
framebuffer, is done.

  1. Nice, a Linux Kernel would be a good reason to buy a Dingoo. And this would make it possible to use SDL just by using the framebuffer driver (no porting needed)

  4. A direct port from SDL, and more linux apps like, mplayer, gnash, and all linux emulators can be ported in an easy way.

  5. All sorts of stuff will be do-able.
    Here's a small list of what we can do:

    1. Linux-compatible media players (with more codecs).
    2. SDL.
    3. Better emulators.
    4. More linux programs.

    It's really something useful for the Dingoo.
