Idiot’s Guide to installing Dingux using Windows released
With the release of FAT Dingux, it is now possible to install Dingux using only Windows! As promised, here is The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Installing Dingux – Using Windoze Edition. Grab the guide here in PDF , zipped here , or here for HTML . 18 October 2009 Update: The above links will always contain the latest version of this guide . While the guide was written in July 2009, the technique shown in it remains the same as at the update date shown in green. However, the guide refers to toddler’s or warped flash’s “local.zip” files, and contains links to these files, which are outdated. The links used to point to the A320 freeforums, until the dastardly Dan deleted them ! Grab the latest version of the critical local.zip file, referred to in the guide here: http://boards.dingoonity.org/index.php/topic,32.msg80.html#msg80
Wow excellent progress! GW joyrider, keep it coming.
ReplyDeleteDude, awesome work. So this is an unoptimised port on the near finished linux kernel for the A320 yeah? And no screen tearing as far as I can see. I bet the buttons all work correctly too :P Anyone got any idea how far away from completion booboo and co. are?
ReplyDeleteSuper mario world isn't a very good example of emulation on snes. Mabey we could see super mario rpg or starfox. Mabey yoshi's island. Theese all work without frameskip flawlessly on a gamecube @485mhz, so mabey with a 400mhz processor the dingoo should be able to handle snes9x 1.43?
ReplyDeleteYou cant really compare mhz unless its the exact same architecture, and even then that gets dicey on identical architectures with different manufacturers. The gamecube is based on powerpc and also has a dedicated graphics processor, the dingoo is mips and doesnt have a graphics processor.
ReplyDeleteBut Super Mario World is one of the games which runs with problems in the original Dingoo SNES emulator, so it's already a progress to run it flawlessly.
