Looks like Sinman at the Spanish GP2x forums has uncovered something useful unfortunately not too useful (see booboo’s message in comments), but still, here it is:

Update (1 May 2009): Read more about the LCD drivers … and the problem with Dingoo-digital not releasing any information, here!  We’re right behind you booboo! Please keep trying.

    Please note that this information is probably useless. This code seems to use a local framebuffer and interface to the LCD in MCU mode.

    The dingoo connects to the LCD in SLCD mode, which means the JZ4740 LCD controller takes care of everything and we must know the characteristics of the LCD in order to initialize the JZ4740 LCD controller properly.

The nice folk at isharegifts gracefully sent me a sample Dingoo A380 for review. You should give this a chance. It deserves one. Welcome to the Tauon PC-1. A Tauon is an incredibly  geeky sciency thing , as it happens, and has nothing to do with the  Great Eastern Philosopher . You won't find it for sale anywhere other than on Tauon's website , and on ebay so far as I can see,  and then only if you're a regular visitor of the ebay "vintage computer hardware" category.  It won't even turn up on ebay if you search for the product name: "Tauon PC1"  - you'll just stumble upon it one day, when you're looking for a replacement floppy drive, or a C64.  So, what is it? It's a computer in a dinky little case!
