Tip: How to switch to (screen off) "standby" (really TV Out) mode
Today we begin a series of tips, designed to help you overcome the lack of a useful manual!
To turn your Dingoo screen off quickly, while in any emulator:
Hold down Start then press the Left Shoulder button
This puts Dingoo into TV-out mode, which blanks the screen. Think of it as "standby" - though it's not real standby, because the batteries will continue to drain even with the screen blank.
In some games which use the same combination of buttons, this can be less than helpful. In GBA "Zelda The Minish Cap" for instance.
Same again to restore the screen from blank.

Actually, it just switches to TV-Out and vice-versa. Just try to do this with TV cable connected to device :)
ReplyDeleteYou could think of standby mode just by how thescreen turns off, but this is because Dingoo tries to redirect the signal to TV.
Ahh ... this explains why the battery drains so quickly when I do his!! I will correct the post!
