Gmenu2x for Dingux

Image
Gmenu2x for Dingux! January 31, 2010 Are you ready for some awesomeness? Joyrider has ported the gmenu2x front-end to dingux! This is much easier to use than dmenu, dinguxmb and the like. No need to edit config files etc when you add new programs to Dingux. There are also various skins/themes already available too. (note - these first two screenshots are taken from Wiz/GP2X) Quote from: Joyrider i ported gmenu2x to dingux, it has all the features of the original gp2x menu working and I fixed 2 small bugs in the original code (dealing with new links that didn't show correctly). I also added battery reading and a LCD Backlight setting, made the volume changing work and a few other things. Gmenu2x also has various skins/themes already available. a few notes : the menu needs to be placed in /boot/local/gmenu2x (and no other place, the zip already contains ...

Asciiportal level pack

For those who like their action in words: Asciiportal levelpack Zear sends news about an Asciiportal level pack. Quote from: Joseph Larson Hey, since the map select is broken on the version you ported for the dingoo, and since I don't want anyone to miss out on the fun (heh) use this maps directory. It's every ASCIIpOrtal map to date. Unfortunately I haven't checked it for repeats or completability, but hey, not like anyones going to actually try to finish all 120 levels. You can download this levelpack from the Dingoo File Archive To install it simply replace your maps dir. Sdlpal released

Image
Funky Chinese RPG sdlpal has been released: sdlpal Zear has ported sdlpal - an SDL-based reimplemention of the classic Chinese-language RPG "The Legend of Sword and Fairy" (仙剑奇侠传), also known as "Chinese Paladin". Quote In order to run the game you need the original datafiles from the DOS version of the game. There is an English patch for the game, but unfortunately it's for the win95 version and doesn't fully work with sdlpal (can't give a certain item to a NPC and thus leave the first location). You can get the English translation here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=20BOH3YA Release Thread = http://boards.dingoonity.org/dingux-releases/sdlpal/ sdlpal Author/Porter: Zear Download: http://dl.openhandhelds.org/cgi-bin/dingoo.cgi?0,0,0,0,26,258

FSM for Dingux

Image
Another menu option for Dingux: FSM for Dingux Released January 29, 2010 Darfgarf has released his new menu for Dingux! Quote alrighty then, this is a small fast menu that doesn't look too pretty at the moment, and lacks features like volume controls etc. but you really should give it a go  Grin  it gives you a nice stable filebrowser to launch things from, along with being able to filter the current directory so that it only shows .dge and .sh files oh and read the readme, it's there for a reason! there would be a screenshot here, but i've had great troubles uploading things due to BT being crap and our phoneline going out in the snow, so you don't get one  Cheesy fsm_0.1.zip Author/Porter: Darfgarf Download: http://www.surreyspringers.co.uk/fsm/fsm_0.1.zip Cheers to Dingoonity!

Chui releases DCastaway for Dingux – Atari ST Emulator

Image
Top Spanish coder Chui has released Dcastaway for Dingux, an Atari ST emulator. Direct link to download here , and more details here ! WHAT'S DCASTAWAY In september 2004 Chui & Ron decided to port of an Atari ST Emulator. We had this old 16-bit home computer and love it. We're finding emulators for other environments and two emulators were found using Simple Direct Layer : Castaway and Hatari . Well, based originally in both emulators all code parts were re-written and optimized for Dreamcast, and DCaSTaway is the result of the effort done to bring to DC this excellent Atari ST emulator in 3 flavours, Dreamcast, Windows and GNU/Linux.

Throw me a frickkin’ Mini Micromenu

Image
Hot (OK, lukewarm) off the presses at Dingoonity: MicroMenu for Dingux January 27, 2010 Vinicius(cabelo) has scripted another interesting tool for ports and emulators that require a lot of RAM. MicroMenu, a front-end to execute heavier ports without the need of Dmenu or Dinguxmb Quote To install, just replace the 'main' file on local/sbin. Check if the path and binary files are right (remember that on *nix systems the names are CaSeSeNsItIvE). To choose, use DPAD and START. To use other itens on MicroMenu just edit the main and set the right path/bin. You cant use any port that uses the file selector(like snes9x) Download link(100126): http://viniciusrezende.com.br/pub/dingux/micromenu/micromenu_100126.zip DingooBR post: http://www.dingoobr.com/?p=1265 More info about download and installation instructions: http://viniciusrezende.com.br/pub/dingux...
