jlpotocki’s updates yinlips YDPG18 review

Image
jlpotocki from our YDPG18 forum has updated his review of this device to include emulator performance (Great work, jlpotocki - I’ll just repost the whole 1st and second part so it’s all in one place): Okay I am going to break this review into 3 parts.  Part one is Specs, Battery Life, and what file formats I could use.  Part 2 is Emulation and Android Game performance.  Part 3 How am I getting the most out of it and final conclusions.  I plan to have it all complete by 2-21-12.  Right now I am spending most of my time right now getting ready to buy a car due to some ex-friends wrecking my other one.  My Goal for this year is to buy All the android gaming systems out there then testing them to see which one is the best in overall Value, Performance, and most importantly which one will give you the most bang for your buck.  because spending $100+ on anything you need to know was that money well spent.  At this time there are 3 main systems Yinlips YDPG18

New Ohboy version (20120224)

New Ohboy version (20120224) February 24, 2012, 09:56:46 PM by jagotu OhBoy - one of the best GB/GBC emulators for native - gets another update! Quote Changes: -Made it optional to load SRAM data when loading a savestate. -Now there is a new option in the options menu. "State SRAM" -It is ON by default, so loading a savestate rewrites the SRAM data (which is the usual behaviour) Turn it OFF if you don't want savestates to interfere with your normal saves. You will see a "SRAM Off" text in the "Load State" menu as a reminder. Included are SIM and APP versions. Discuss it here: http://boards.dingoonity.org/dingoo-releases/new-ohboy-release-for-native/msg37387/#msg37387 Ohboy_Dingoo_Native_20120224_Unofficial.zip Author/Porter: hi-ban Download: http://www.box.com/s/353cdfzj6z111hg0305a

PocketSnes v.2.3.1

Image
PocketSnes v.2.3.1 February 19, 2012, 10:49:18 AM by jagotu flpstrquerendoumdingoo!!! took another emulator and improved it! Though, it's starting to be a little messy with the snes emulators and their respective file formats... Anybody to do a nice little table? Quote PocketSnes v.2.3.1 notes: Based on the source of GottaX v.2.2.1. Created a new format called. PKS. PocketSnes.sim only open files .Pks, not to subscribe to .Sfc (DingooSnes) and .Smc. Added support for .Pks in Pocketsnes.app. New cflags for optimization. Clock is initially configured to 400mhz. Tests on pocketsnes v.2.3.1 vs DingooSnes 1:39 in Final Fantasy V brought up to 5 fps more than DingooSnes in hardware mode. Included: Comes with pocketsnes.sim to .Pks. Comes with pocketsnes.app supporting .Zip, .Sfc, .Smc, .Pks.

Shadowfire’s JXD S601 Review

Image
Shadowfire shares his frank views on the JXD s601: I've received the S601 and here are my impressions. This is in the perspective of a retro game player. 1. The DPAD, is, unfortunately, the weakest link in this package.  It is actually 2 pieces (UP/LEFT, DOWN/RIGHT), and allows you to simultaneously press DOWN and UP (and LEFT and RIGHT).  Also, the buttons are spaced further apart than in the JXD5000 - which is pretty bad for a dpad which isn't a single piece.  I'm giving the D-pad a 4/10 here.  The shoulder buttons are loud but provide excellend tactile feedback, and seem to be microswitches, as are the four option buttons.  The d-pad and 4 primary buttons are the rubber-dome type.  Of the 3 units I own, the Dingoo A380 has the best dpad. 2. Based on the photograph posted here earlier, the nub hardware really is 100% analog.  That picture shows a resistive track layout, with a voltage sensing line. It almost certai

jlpotocki’s Upgraded Yinlips YDPG-18 (A10 Chip) Review

Gambatte For OpenDingux!

Gambatte For OpenDingux! February 12, 2012, 02:22:45 AM by qbertaddict Updated 12-2-2012 Quote This binary includes Ayla's 1.5x scaler as hi-ban suggested abhoriel has ported Gambette to OpenDingux! Quote This is a port of Gambatte to Opendingux. It's an accuracy-focused gameboy/gameboy color emulator, and is much more accurate than gnuboy. In spite of this, it seems to run all the gameboy games I've tried at full speed 60fps on the dingoo without overclocking. This port has a simple menu, supports save/load/select state, and it uses Ayla's fullscreen scaler (as in his port of gnuboy). Let me know if you have any problems or feature requests. It should work on legacy too, but I haven't tested it. Discuss it here: http://boards.dingoonity.org/dingux-releases/gambatte-for-opendingux-(accurate-gameboy-emulator)/ms

DingooSNES v1.0

Image
DingooSNES v1.0 February 11, 2012, 02:18:55 PM by jagotu lion_rsm has released this SNES emulator for dingoo native. It's based on snes9x, so expect similar compatibility. Warning: Google Translation ahead! Quote Our compatriot lion_rsm released an excellent emulator console Super Nintendo. Why is this better than analog emulator? ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Currently under the Dingoo Native OS, there are two alternate emulator SNES: a standard SFC and very advanced PocketSNES. DingooSNES emulator has several advantages over similar products: - A unified user interface (future emulators of other systems will have the same interface) with user-friendly and intuitive operation; - High speed emulation, not yielding counterparts, and in some cases superior to them; - Better compatibility with games throug

Quote This is a port of the Descent game for the Dingux, Based on the v0.57 release of the source port project "D1X-Rebirth". ->Steps to install: Extract all these files in a folder inside the memory card. Add a Link into your G2X Menu pointing to d1x-launcher.dge Create your Pilot and configure the controllers.
