Uli has (and he did this on the freeforums just now, BTW) announced the release of PSX4ALL for Dingux:
psx4all-dingoo PlayStation emulator for Dingoo A320 (Dingux)I just released something that might be of interest to some: http://github.com/uli/psx4all-dingoo This is a port of psx4all to the Dingoo A320 (Dingux), with acceptable performance, at least on some games. I recommend 2/3 frameskip. I have tested the following games:
I remember that Driver and Tomb Raider didn’t work, but I think all others did, at varying speeds. The emulator supports a compressed file format I christended “CBIN”, which is essentially CISO with a different frame size (to accommodate raw CD images). A tool for converting BIN files to CBN comes with the emulator. Binaries here: http://github.com/uli/psx4all-dingoo/downloads Have a lot of fun. |
And here:

Although it’s strange days in dingooland, so please be careful out there, and test, test, test first.
UPDATE: Well, we all know by now it works, and works well! Here is a tutorial on how to set it up: http://boards.dingoonity.org/dingux-emulation/psx4all-tutorial/msg150/#msg150

It seriously runs that well? That's great.
ReplyDeleteCrashes after Sony logo (@ 0.1fps) with Final Fantasy Anthology
ReplyDeleteWhat about Grand Theft Auto and Syphon Filter? Anyone tried them?
ReplyDeleteBut this is great!
Thunder Force 5 doesn't load for me. Forget this emulator. I'll play it on my PSP.
ReplyDeleteWhat was the point of saying, "Forget this emulator. I'll play it on my PSP."
ReplyDeletewho cares what YOU are going to do. This release is potentially one of the best things to happen for the Dingoo. And, while YOU lug that big ass PSP around everywhere you go looking like a 90's dork, we will play the same game with Dingoo securely fit in our pockets.
See? doesnt feel good to be on other end does it?
....dont spend your life being an idiot. Learn to support someone else other than YOURSELF for a change.
whoa holy shit!
ReplyDeletethe dingoo gets better every day! :)

well... that's great but we'll need a ton of optimizations (and maybe some PSX game hacks to reduce the CPU load).
ReplyDeleteI THINK that Blizz didn't convert the disc images to CBINs before he played, by the way he talked in the chat. So there may still be hope!
ReplyDeleteVery, very nice!
ReplyDeleteSomeone knows a good place for ripped images (without the videos)? My SD-card is full already, no place for big-ass 500mb files. :(
The famous 30 MB tekken3.iso converted to bin won´t load, probably bad converter.
Any advice is very welcome :)
It plays "bin" roms? I can only find CD-ROM images (i.e. ISO files)? Can't find anything about CD images in the readme... Which is strange. Because the PSone worked w/ CD's.
ReplyDeleteTried to load the iso image of Syphon Filter ()both the uncompressed and the compressed version). Get only a black screen... Pity.
ReplyDeleteit's a start! I can't wait to see where it goes from here!
ReplyDeleteTry using different bios files ppl! My SCPH1001.BIN didn't load FF Tactics. Using SCPH7502.bin (renamed to 1001) worked.
ReplyDelete"It's a start!"
ReplyDeleteNo, It is a amazing feat for a start! There are emulators and half ass ported games on dingux which are slow even have without sound, and this guy got PSX running at so amazing speed at first release! Man, this guy is a serious programmer, I am sure we will have much more surprises on the next releases, just wait to see!
How to launch it?Where is executable file?
ReplyDeletesorry I downloaded source...
ReplyDeleteDriver 2 works!!!!! but little bit slowly
ReplyDeleteI am nearly happy!
